Course Information

5k

The 5k Course is a general loop with a slight 'out and back' tail.  Participants should stay on the right side of the trail at all times, passing on the left.

COURSE SURFACE:  Course is about half crushed gravel and half concrete. Most portions of course are 8 feet wide.  Some wooden foot bridges are present.

WATER STATIONS:  There is one water station on the 5k course which you will pass 2 times. 

TOILETS:  There are multiple toilet locations on the 5k course.

HALF MARATHON

13.1 mile course

Half Marathon participants will start with a gentle counter-clockwise loop to the east and north around the ponds at Riverdale Park. Just around 3 miles in to the run (2.87), racers will connect with the Platte River trail and head south, enjoying wide concrete paths with HUGE views.  At approximately 7 miles, racers will make a counterclockwise circle around Valente Lake (just north of 104th Ave) and then reconnect with the Platte River trail.  Run north, back to Riverdale Park, past the ponds at Riverdale to the disc golf course and then return south-west to the finish line - which is the same as the start line!

COURSE SURFACE: Primarily concrete with intermittent portions of crushed gravel.  Most portions of course are 8 feet wide.  Some wooden foot bridges are present.

COURSE CUT OFF: 3.5 hours.  See schedule.  Those who need more time may start EARLY.  Contact the race director in advance with this request.  info@3wraces.com

WATER STATIONS:  There are 3 water stations on the course which you will pass a total of 6 times.  (Approximately every two miles.)

TOILETS:  There are multiple toilet locations on the course.
